Everything else here is a reading of our own pages. This is the one place a person says what he thinks, under his own name, about something that happened in dentistry that week. He can have an opinion about the industry. He never has one about a number this site publishes, and that separation is what buys the right to a voice at all.

When one is written it lands here, dated, signed, linking to whatever it is about, and it also sits at the top of that week's page. Nothing appears at either address until Shawn has approved it himself.
Where a take comes from
Every Friday a private brief lands on his desk: what the trade press ran, what the FDA cleared, and what came up on the seven hundred and fifty dental shows we read. He picks something and says what he thinks about it. The brief itself is not published, and the take always links to the outlet that broke the story.
